Good morning

Tried out the lavender buds carafunk gave me a while back, which I only remembered I had now.
I actually wasn’t sure how to brew them properly, and Google suggested it goes well with black tea so that’s exactly what I did. It turned quite lovely and especially aromatic, despite the fact that I did forget to use a tea strainer/ball/infuser lol.

Three things today:

  1. The weather’s been surprisingly cool because of the slight drizzle, so I thought it would be nice to lounge in our garden set
  2. One of the best things about being the Art/Marketing Director for La Vie En Rose Sweets is that I get to eat the macarons after I shoot them
  3. Awesome Adventure Time wallpaper is awesome.

Delightful, glorious tea an aunt from London almost always brings when she comes to visit Manila, and each time, I am quite in rapture.

Also, Happy Leap Year!

Quick one this morning. Tea stains and watercolor.

I used to drink this back in the States, so I mildly freaked out when I came across it at a grocery the other day— I had no idea they sold it here! It’s as good and extremely pretty as I remember.

A couple friends from Austria are here for the holidays and besides the Milka chocolate (which I positively devoured when I was over at their place in ‘09), they also gave us a box of really pretty Austrian tea! Everything was written in German so you really don’t know what you’re gonna get haha, but my first cup reminded me a lot of the flowering tea I had a while back.

My mom expressed her desire to take the 2-hour drive to stay at our rest house every other weekend, and I don’t really have any objections. I get to sit at my favorite window in snuggly sweaters, read, drink tea, and go off into some other world.

Breakfast.

Also, I’m starting on a new book, The Elegance of the Hedgehog (or its original L’élégance du hérisson) by Muriel Barbery, which generally revolves around two narrators’ viewpoints, so the perspectives switch between a 45-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl. It’s quite unconventionally written, and there are a lot of references about art, philosophy, literature and whatnot, mixed in with personal conflict.
I’ve gone through the first 50 pages and enjoying it so far, which is saying a lot because I’ve never really been patient with philosophy.

Rainy day fix.

Et voilà!
